   1)Param Vir Chakra: The highest decoration for valour is the Param Vir Chakra which is awarded for the most conspicuous bravery or some daring or pre_eminent act of valour or self sacrifice in the presence of enemy,whether on land ,at sea or in the air. The decoration is made up of bronze and is circular in shape. 

    2 ) Maha Vir Chakra: The Maha Vir Chakra is the second highest decoration and is awarded for act's of conspicuous gallantry in the presence of enemy,whether on land at sea or in the air. The decoration is made up of standard silver and is circular in shape. 

  3 ) Vir Chakra:The Vir Chakra is third in order of awards given for act of gallantry in presence of the enemy,whether on land,at sea or in the air. It's made up of standard silver and circular in shape 

  4) Ashoka Chakra:The medal is awarded for the most conspicuous bravery or some daring or prominent act of valour or self sacrifice on land,at sea or in the air. It's made up of gilt gold and is circular in shape. 

  5) Kirti Chakra: The decoration is awarded for conspicuous gallantry. It is made up of standard silver and is circular in shape. The obverse and the reverse are exactly the same as in the Ashoka Chakra. The Chakra is worn on the left breast with a green silk riband,about 3.2 cm.in width and divided into four equal segments by three organs vertical lines. 

  6 ) Shaurya Chakra :The decoration is awarded for an act of gallantry :It is exactly like the Ashoka Chakra except that it is made up of bronze. 

 6 ) Param Vishisht Seva Medal,All Vishisht Seva Medal,Vishisht Seva Medal: The Vishisht Seva Medal (Distinguished Service)Medals are awarded to personnel of all the three services in recognition of distinguished Service of the most exceptional,exceptional,and high,order respectively. 

  7 ) Jeevan Raksha Awards: The Medals are awarded for meritorious act's or a series of acts of a human  nature displayed in saving a person from from drowning,fire and rescue operations in mines,etc. 

  8) Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak :The Medal is awarded for conspicuous courage under  circumstances of very great danjer to the life of the rescuer.

  9 ) Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak: The Medal is awarded for courage and promptitude under circumstances of grave bodily injury to the rescuer. 

    10 ) Jeevan Raksha Padak :The Medal is awarded for courage and promptitude in saving life under circumstances of grave k injury to the rescuer

   11)Uttam Seva Medals 

    12 )Yudh Seva Medals
